ChatGPT prompts for marketing that produce campaign-ready work

Marketing is where prompting pays back fastest, because most marketing work is high-volume, format-driven and endlessly iterative. These prompts cover the five jobs that eat the most hours: research, ads, email, landing pages and content planning.

Feed it a brief before you ask for anything

Every prompt below assumes the model knows your business. Paste a short brief first — product, price, who buys it, the main objection, the tone to avoid — and keep it in the same conversation. Output quality roughly doubles.

  • Product and what it replaces for the buyer.
  • Price and how it compares to the alternative.
  • Buyer: role, situation, what triggered the search.
  • The single biggest objection.
  • Three words your brand never uses.

Audience and message research

  • List the ten objections a [buyer] has before buying [product] at [price]. For each, give the underlying fear and a one-sentence reframe that addresses it without denying it.
  • Write the internal monologue of a [buyer] in the 48 hours before they buy something like [product]. Then extract five phrases from it I can use verbatim in ad copy.
  • Cluster the customer feedback below into themes. For each theme give the count, a representative quote, and whether it is a messaging fix or a product fix. Feedback: [paste]

Ads and hooks

  • Generate 15 ad angles for [product]. Label each with the emotional driver (fear, status, ease, curiosity, proof) and write one primary text under 90 characters for each.
  • Write 10 scroll-stopping first lines for a Meta ad aimed at [audience]. Five must open with a specific number, five with a common belief you then contradict. No questions, no emojis.
  • Take the winning ad below and write six variations that change only the angle, keeping the structure identical. Ad: [paste]

Email and landing pages

  • Write a 4-email welcome sequence for people who downloaded [lead magnet]. Deliver value in each email before any pitch. Email 4 introduces [offer] at [price]. Max 200 words each.
  • Rewrite the landing page section below three ways: one benefit-led, one proof-led, one objection-led. Keep every factual claim identical. Section: [paste]
  • Write 20 subject lines for an email about [topic]. Ten curiosity-led under 40 characters, ten specific and literal. Flag any that could look like spam.

Planning and repurposing

  • Turn the article below into one email, five social posts, three short-video scripts and a carousel outline. Keep the core argument identical across all of them. Article: [paste]
  • Build a quarterly content plan for [business] with three pillars. Give me week-by-week topics, the funnel stage each serves, and the single metric that proves it worked.

Frequently asked

Will AI-written marketing copy hurt my SEO?+

Only if it's thin and unedited. Google's guidance targets unhelpful content, not the tool that produced it. Add specifics, real examples and your own judgement, and it ranks like anything else.

How do I stop everything sounding the same?+

Give the model a banned-words list and a voice sample from your best-performing copy. Generic output is nearly always the result of a prompt with no voice constraints.

How many variations should I generate per ad?+

Ten to fifteen angles, then pick three to test. Generating more variations of the same angle is wasted effort — the angle is what moves performance.

Everything above, done for you.
